“We’re the new guys on the Ever Star Industries block,” says owner and dealer principle, Pat Clough. “I’ve been involved in the motor and truck industries for some time but we’re very excited to now, also, be an ESI Dealership – offering sales, service and parts across the FTSeries trucks range as well as some products in the VX and/or V-series ranges.”
Powerstar Newlands specialises in freight carriers as well as select extra heavy vehicles – focusing on special applications such as rollbacks, tippers, skip loaders dropsides.
“We carry pre-built stock of vehicles with dropside body application for timeous delivery – that makes us fairly unique in our industry,” says Clough. “We look at trends and aim to get the right body types fitted in advance – reducing turnaround time for delivery.”
Being an independently owned sales, parts and service dealership (that also trades in the pre-owned vehicle space) places Powerstar Newlands in a position where they are able to respond quickly to changing market conditions and requirements.
“In these challenging economic conditions, you have to be able to respond quickly to customers’ requirements and we are able to do that,” says Clough. “Couple that with our owner-driven focus on after sales service, our fully-equipped workshop, quality on-site technicians and our location in Newlands in Johannesburg – we’re well-equipped to be of service to the greater Gauteng region.”
